The Rink Side "Extreme" Synchronized Ice Skating Team
Synchronized Skating is one of the fasted growing competitive sports. It combines the graceful movements of figure skating with speed, intricate footwork, intersecting patterns, and quick changes of direction. To be a member of a synchronized skating team you must have strong individual skating skills.

Figure Skating
Rink Side has been proud to offer this area's premier figure skating programs since we began 10 years ago.We are the 2006-2007 winner of the Ice Skating Institute's Skating School District Award.
We have made available a hybrid program that blends ISI (Ice Skating Institute) standards and programs along with USFS (United States Figure Skating) standards and programs.
All Rink Side Instructors are ISI Professional Members and ISI Judge Certified; most are PSA (Professional Skaters Association) Members.
The instructors keep constant watch for new information, programs and certification, including via the internet. By constantly re-educating ourselves as well as learning new ideas and techniques, we can proudly say we have one of the most qualified staffs in the area.
Rink Side is also the home of Southport Figure Skating Club . SSC is a USFS Club that has been in operation for over 25 years. In collaboration with SSC, Rink Side brings in National, World, and Olympic level coaches and coaching clinics/seminars each year.
Rink Side offers: USFS "Moves In The Field" Classes; " Low, Medium, High, & Elite Power Edge" Classes; "Only Axels" Classes; "Flying Spin" and "Spin" Classes. These are just a sampling of the unique classes available.
We have it all here at Rink Side under one roof....we are proud to say we are a truly well rounded training facility!
